Wienerschnitzel Derlicious

Image
Does anyone elses child love Wiener Dude like my son.  Because its his main request for dinner out.  Also he knows the ladies who work there, he always gets a greeting and a smile out of them... I'm pretty sure Grandma take the boys to Wienerschnitzel almost every Tuesday & Thursday.

Look Who's 4 Months Old

Image
Happy Four Month's Old Alexander's 4th Month milestones include - Rolling over kinda & laughing Mommy Moment - My little monkey wakes up around 6am and sucks on his thumb to let me know he's hungry. Daddy Moment - That he laughs now and doesn't just smile. Jackson Moment - When brother laughs at me when I tickle his toes.

Potty Training my little boy

Image
Step 1.  Make Sure you don't have carpet in the bathroom.              Because you have to teach them to aim. Step 2.  Bribery only gets you so far...              Jackson got the fire station for going poop in the potty once. Step 3.  Keep trying.  We got the peeing down.  Standing up and everything

Sweatsuit Alternative: Part III

Image
So the goal, then, is to come up with some no-fail outfits that look cute but are insanely easy – easy enough for those mornings when the sweatpants are calling. Errands with a little one are tough enough. You want all the help you can get. Here is an alternative: Hoodie + Scarf Never underestimate the power of a good scarf, cherie. If there was one thing I learned during my first visit to Paris, it was this: stop over-thinking the scarf. Find a scarf you love (a lightweight one will be more versatile), and throw it on with everything. It need not even match. So for for errand day, zip on your favorite jeans, a hoodie, and wind your scarf haphazardly around your neck. One can Google how to tie a scarf, but it isn’t necessary. Just wind it around anyway that you like it, tie once, or not. Whatever. I like to finish off the look with cute ballet flats. Aint no mom jeans - Is where all the info is from.

Sweatsuit Alternatives: Part II

Image
Destroyed Denim + Black Turtleneck The quickest way to channel Audrey Hepburn is to pull your hair up into a ponytail, throw on a chic black turtleneck and black ballet flats. For this season, I especially love this look paired with destroyed denim, but really, any cute jean will do. Destroyed denim will take this look in a more fashion-y direction, and the contrast of the prim black top with the worn jeans is a great mix. The best part is that black is slimming, looks good on everyone, and always looks expensive. My all-time favorite turtleneck is J. Crew’s Tissue Turtleneck , $39.50 Aint no mom jeans - Is where all the info is from.

Movie Night

Image
We had movie night on Friday and the feature film was Star Wars.  It's an amazing feeling showing your son a movie you watched as a kid.  Teaching him the characters telling him who's the bad guys and what a lightsaber is...  Pizza-Popcorn-Juice see you next Friday

Sweatsuit Alternative: Part I

Image
This sweatsuit alternative couldn’t be easier: throw on a cool sporty jacket with your favorite pair of jeans and add cute sneaks. The challenge, however, is actually finding the cool sporty jacket and cute sneaks. You want something different, something that fits perfectly, something cool. This look is so versatile (errands, park, coffee, art class, shopping, baseball game) that it’s worth spending a little extra time (and money) to get it right.  For cool sporty jackets , I think Puma does them the best. Cute Sneaks (NOTE: While Cute Sneaks are in fact, sneakers, they are very definitely NOT running shoes, or basketball shoes, or sport shoes at all. They are simply for walking around a city, looking cool and being comfortable. Piperlime.com calls them “Fashion Sneakers” ) So put the sweatpants down….that’s right….now back away slowly. That’s a good girl. Aint no mom jeans - Is where all the info is from.

Where the Wild Things Are

Image
Jackson got this book when he was four weeks old from his Auntie Gee Gee (aka Katie) and has loved it ever since then. As you know the movie is coming out and I cant wait to take him, i'm hoping its not to scary. He didn't make it thru UP because something with the dogs I don't know Joe took him. Anyways its going to be amazing its written & directed by Spike Jonze one of the best directors out there. Not sure of the rating but will try it out. Check it out for yourself. My Wild Thing

Playing with my Cousin Jonah - from Alex

Image
Last Friday Mama took me over to my Cousin Jonah and Auntie Dina's. We had so much fun talking and laughing with him. I told him to tell his mama that he needed a baby brother to play with. Fingers Crossed. It was funny he kept calling my mom Shanner. My mommy thought it was so cool that he has a special name for her. I hope my mom takes me again this Friday I will ask her. Alexander
